Refund Policy

All sales are final

By purchasing a subscription or top-up at PassMyEssay, you agree that all purchases are final and non-refundable, except in the limited cases explicitly listed below. Please read this policy together with our Terms of Service.

Why we have a strict policy

PassMyEssay is an AI-powered writing service. Because of how the service works:

  • Once you have used the tool, the value has been delivered.
  • AI detection algorithms (Turnitin, GPTZero, Originality, Copyleaks, and others) are maintained by third parties and change frequently.
  • We cannot control or predict how those detectors will behave on any given text at any given time.
  • Output quality from a probabilistic AI model is subjective and not a basis for a refund.

What we do NOT refund

  • AI-detection results. If any detector flags your humanized output, that is not grounds for a refund.
  • Output quality dissatisfaction. AI models are probabilistic. Re-run with a different effort level or a different mode.
  • Unused subscription time. Cancelling keeps your access through the end of the billing period; we do not prorate or refund the unused portion.
  • Change of mind. Deciding you no longer want the service after purchase.
  • Academic or professional consequences. We are not liable for any outcome of your use of the service.
  • Third-party issues. Problems with your institution, employer, or any other party.
  • Failure to read these terms. Not reading our policies before purchase.

Limited exceptions

We will consider a refund in these specific cases:

  • Duplicate charges — you were billed more than once for the same subscription period.
  • Incorrect billing amount — you were charged more than the listed price for the plan you selected.
  • Extended outage — the service was unavailable for 24+ consecutive hours during your paid period. Refund is prorated for the outage window.

Top-ups

One-time word top-ups ($4.99 for 25,000 words) follow the same policy. Because the words are added to your current period immediately on checkout, top-ups are final once purchased and cannot be reversed for change of mind or for unused words at period end.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time from Account → Billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and keeps access through the end of the current period. Cancellation is not the same as a refund — it does not return money for time you have already paid for.

How to request a refund

If you believe one of the limited exceptions above applies to you:

  1. Email billing@passmyessay.com with the subject Refund Request — [your account email].
  2. Include: the email associated with your account, the date(s) of the charge(s), a clear description of the issue, and screenshots or receipts for duplicate-charge claims.
  3. We respond within 3–5 business days.

Processing: approved refunds are issued via Stripe within 5–10 business days. Your bank may take an additional 5–10 business days to display the credit on your statement.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Chargebacks filed without first attempting to resolve the issue may result in account suspension.
