Privacy Policy

Original policy: May 22, 2026. Updated: October 16, 2026.

This policy explains what data PassMyEssay collects, how it is stored, who can see it, and the controls you have over it. We try to be straightforward — no claims we cannot back up technically.

1. What we store

When you use PassMyEssay we save the following so the product can work properly and give you a history to come back to:

  • Account record: email address, plan, subscription status, and current word-usage counter.
  • Humanizer history: the original text you submitted and the humanized output. Each entry is private to your account.
  • AI Phrase Detector history: the text you scanned and the flagged segments returned by the analysis.
  • Billing identifiers: a Stripe customer ID we use to look up your subscription. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.

We do not use your submissions to train AI models. We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not send essays to Turnitin or GPTZero as part of the writing workflow. Cloud-based AI features send the text needed for the request to inference providers; those providers are third parties.

Google sign-in data

If you choose Continue with Google, Google provides your account identifier, email address, email-verification status and basic profile information, including your name and profile image when available. PassMyEssay uses this information to authenticate you, connect your Google identity to your PassMyEssay account and display your account profile.

Google sign-in information is stored with your authentication record in Supabase and processed by our hosting infrastructure to provide your signed-in session. Signing in requests basic identity permissions; it does not grant PassMyEssay access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive documents or Google Photos. Essay text you choose to submit is processed separately by the writing tools described in this policy. We do not sell Google sign-in information or use it to train AI models.

2. Who can see your essays

Saved content is available through your authenticated account. Every record is stored against your user ID and protected by database row-level security — the platform itself only returns rows that match the authenticated user. A small group of engineers can technically access the database for support and debugging, but we do not browse user essays.

3. Deleting your data

You can manage saved documents in Documents and request account deletion from Settings. For help with deletion or a privacy request, email privacy@passmyessay.com from your account email. Some billing records may need to be retained for applicable accounting obligations.

Account and Google identity information is retained to operate your account. Your dashboard settings provide account export and deletion controls. You can also remove PassMyEssay's connection in your Google Account; disconnecting Google does not itself delete your PassMyEssay account or cancel a subscription. Contact support@passmyessay.com for help with deletion requests involving retained migration copies or backups.

4. Encryption

Data in transit between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by our database provider (Supabase). Payment information is encrypted and handled by Stripe under PCI-DSS standards.

5. Sub-processors

We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the service: database and authentication providers, payment processors, hosting providers, AI inference providers and email providers. The providers used depend on the feature and its deployed configuration. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

  • Google: authenticates users who choose Google sign-in and provides the basic identity information described above.
  • Supabase: stores account records, authentication identities, saved drafts and writing history.
  • Vercel: hosts the website and processes website and API requests.
  • Stripe: handles payments and subscriptions using the billing details needed for a purchase.
  • AI inference providers, including Groq: process text submitted to cloud writing features.
  • Resend: sends account and transactional emails using the recipient details needed for delivery.

Authentication cookies keep you signed in. Website analytics may collect page visits, browser information and usage events through Google Analytics. Analytics is separate from the Google identity permissions used to sign in. Security and rate-limiting services also process request identifiers and usage counters to protect the service.

6. Marketing emails

If you opt in, we may send occasional product updates and offers. You can opt out from the email preferences available in your account at any time, or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

7. Children

PassMyEssay is intended for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
