PassMyEssay extension privacy
Updated 16 October 2026
The extension opens when you click its toolbar icon or selection context-menu command. It does not continuously monitor browsing. Selecting text imports that selection into its side panel.
Local tools and drafts
Clean and Format process text locally. Draft text, results, selection references and processing consent use Chrome session storage. Signing out clears the extension draft and consent.
Account access
Email and Google sign-in use PassMyEssay’s authentication service. The extension keeps its authentication session in storage restricted to trusted extension contexts. Passwords are sent to the authentication service to sign in and are not saved by the extension.
Review and Humanize
After processing consent, text you submit is sent to PassMyEssay and its AI providers to complete the requested operation. Account usage, plan information and applicable saved processing records follow the website privacy policy. These operations share your website account entitlement and usage.
Your controls
You choose what text to submit and whether to copy or replace the result. Replacement is available only in supported editors. You can clear the draft, sign out, or uninstall the extension.
